15 & 11 Man Qualification

A new qualification process for the Dumfries County teams in the 15 Man & 11 Man will take effect from the end of the current Dumfries Pool League season. The 1st event using this process will be the 2010 15 Man team.
The A Team Qualification The winner and runner up of the League Singles competition will have automatic qualification as well as the top 8 rankings players (top 5 for 11 Man team). If the Singles winner/runner up are in the top 8 of the rankings then 9th/10th place in the rankings will qualify.
The remaining places will be chosen by the team captain. If there is a tie for 8th place, all will qualify, this applies to 9th/10th places if they are used.
The B teams will be chosen in a similar way, once the A team is chosen the rankings will be used to choose players in order of their rankings place at the end of the season.
When selecting Dumfries County teams, the previous seasons results will be used in this process e.g. this seasons rankings and singles competition will be used to make the 15 Man team for 2010 and the 11 Man for 2011.
